GENDER: ITS RELATION OF COGNITIVE LEARNING OUTCOMES ON RECOSRE LEARNING MODELS 1Postgraduate Student, Departemen Pendidikan Biologi, Universitas Negeri Malang, Jl. Semarang No. 5, Malang 65145, Indonesia Abstract Abstract. This study was conducted to determine the effect of RICOSRE learning model on student learning outcomes in different gender. This study was a quasi experiment with the design of a pretest-posttest nonequivalent factorial 2x2 group. The population in the study were all students of class XI in Malang, with a sample of 134 students divided into 2 control classes that were taught by conventional learning and 2 experimental classes that were taught by RICOSRE learning model. Data of cognitive learning result obtained from result of essay test done at the beginning and at end of applying of learning model. Data of cognitive learning result that have been obtained will be analyzed by using Anakova technique and continued by Least Significant Different (LSD). The results showed that (1) RICOSRE learning model influenced students cognitive learning outcomes; (2) gender effect on students cognitive learning outcomes, where female students have higher cognitive learning outcomes than male students; and (3) there is no interaction effect between RICOSRE and gender learning model on cognitive learning outcomes.
