Implementation of Integrated Science Curriculum: A Critical Review of the Literature

Abstract

The integrated science curriculum is one of the curricula that has been implemented in many countries. The purpose of this study is to investigate how the implementation of the integrated science curriculum based on literature review. This research is descriptive research. We report from 20 empirical studies related to integrated science. The result of this research is the application of integrated science curriculum is still not optimal and still experiencing many problems in various countries. The problems are teachers who have not optimally taught integrated science and reference resources that are not sufficient enough. The results of this study can be used as a reference for further researchers or stakeholders who implement an integrated science curriculum.
