Abstract
Shifting the emphasis of learning science already mentioned since almost 15 years ago. As for things that are less emphasized is questioning the mastery of the knowledge gained. Nowadays, it is becoming a concern in the learning. The process of asking the knowledge that has been known to turn into scientific discussion and debate among students. According to researchers the educational activity of the scientific discussion is one of the activities that support the communication skills needed in 21st century learning. Some previous research also States that the activity of the scientific discussion was able to increase the ability of scientific communication. As for one of the connecting bridge is using analogy. The analogy is one part of the metaphor. The purpose of this study is gaining more information about how the use of analogy as a science metaphor in argumentation activity. This study was conducted at secondary school in Bandung. This study is conducted by using observation, document analysis and interview to find out the use of the analogy as a science metaphor.
