Abstract
Self efficacy and self regulation are important for a student. Self efficacy is the ability of students to organize and implement actions that will make students motivated to learn through self use as a goal setting process. Self regulation is the ability to control oneself through a process that activates thoughts, behaviors and feelings in achieving goals. This study aims to describe students self efficacy and self regulation. The research method used was mix method. Research subjects were 22 senior high school students. The results showed students self efficacy abilities are categorized as good and students self regulation are categorized as excellent. Correlation test results showed that self efficacy and self regulation are inversely correlated (r2 = .451), means that the lower the students self efficacy, the higher the students self regulation. Based on these results, we can conclude that the ability of self efficacy and self regulation will aid in achieving the learning objectives. Teachers roles and strategies are needed to build students self efficacy and self regulation.
