Abstract
Bandung Masagi is the implementation of a character education based local wisdom, which is formulated by the Education Department of Bandung. This paper discusses The Role of Bandung Masagi to Support Character Education of 2013 Curriculum in Integrated Science Lesson. The study was conducted in five junior high school for five weeks i.e at Junior High School 17 of Bandung, Junior High School 44 of Bandung, Junior High School 57 of Bandung, Junior High School 50 of Bandung and Junior High School Yayasan Atika Sunda of Bandung. Research was conducted in each school for one week. We conducted observations of student activities related to their characters, interviews with science teachers and principals in each school. The data collection was performed using documentation method by observation, interview and teacher questionnaire. The research concludes that Bandung Masagi is very helpful for teachers and schools in achieving character education in accordance with the 2013 curriculum. This finding also suggests that Bandung Masagi makes students love the environment, not littering and applying a healthy lifestyle.
