Abstract
The aim of this study was to explore the use of assessment strategy wich can measure mathematical understanding of pre-service teachers used video application of their smartphones. We used descriptive-qualitative method with observation techniques by documentation study, interview, and questionnaire. The participant composed of 37 persons. The result of this study showed that: 1) using video applications which can influence pre-service teachers mathematical understanding, 2) the percentage of pre-service teachers who understand of geometry using video applications has the most effective is the highest compared to the other, 3) most of the pre-service teachers are willing to join to this teaching-learning strategy. Furthermore, these findings can be used to develop of pre-service mathematical understanding in the future.
