Abstract
Quantum Teaching Hypnosis-based is a learning that is expected to improve teachers understanding in teaching students mathematics because in this learning teachers are trained to explain the material in an effective and efficient way, as well as the provision of hypnosis during learning. This study is an experimental research and to determine
the improvement of mathematical understanding. There are 50 seventh semester students of PSTE student as sample in this experiment selected randomly. An experimental class is provided with Quantum Teaching Hypnosis-based (QTH), and a control class is given Ordinary Learning (OL). The instruments used are: test, observation sheet, and interview guide. Analysis of data with t test and Anava two ways. The result of the research is the whole students with QTH learning show a better result in mathematical communication compared to students with OL learning. Based on ability level of students (high, average, low), average and low level demonstrate a better result, but not for high ability level. Based on test responses, students treated by QTH show better activities and performance compared to students treated by OL
