Abstract
Mathematics well known as a lesson subject that able to increase students ability in thinking. This ability very useful in live to face, analyze and make decision. One of that important ability is problem solving, especially mathematical problem solving. Many students have difficulty in learning trigonometry. One of the reason because they do not know what is the important reason why we must learn trigonometry, even trigonometry is one of the mathematics subject as a bridge to train the ability to think logically and systematically. It is also very useful to solve problem about space measuring. By using project based learning, students will solve trigonometry problem by using its formulas directly. This research use literature study from some books and articles in journals to see and give some examples how to apply trigonometry in project based learning that able to develop students mathematical problem solving ability.
