Abstract

Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics or STEM is a learning model can train students in the 21st century learning. And STEM is a paradigm that can create interdisciplinary learning. Some literature of STEM learning stated that STEM will make a good influence in improving the Science Process Skill (SPS). The aims of this research is to make the assessment instrument STEM-based indicators in empowering the science skills of students provided in Thermochemistry. This instrument want to know the criteria of validity, reliability, difficulty, distinguishing power, and index deception of intrument assesment. This methodology of this research is development. The participants in this study are 6 experts and students. Experts have a role as a validator in developed instruments and students as research subjects to know the capabilities of the developed instrument. The results of this study are: (1) the instrument is valid by 6 experts, (2) instrument have a good reliability, difficulty level, distinguishing factor and spell index, (3) instrument can be applied in School.

Keywords: STEM, Development, Intrument Assesment, Thermochemistry
